Uganda, popularly known as the pearl of Africa, is located in east Africa and lies outside the equator. Uganda is a landlocked country and obtained independence on 9th October 1962. Uganda has hospitable people, however Uganda has a large population of single mothers who are suffering in life with their children to make ends meet.

Many of these single mothers are challenged with high rate of unemployment, high rate of poverty, high rate of hunger, poor living conditions, high rate of illiteracy among their children who don’t receive formal education, among other problems. There is indeed a plea, call, and need to support these single mothers and their families to live a meaningful life.
